Welcome to the 2020 Spring/Summer Registration with the Lake in the Hills Youth Athletic Association!
This registration session will allow you to input contact and player information, sign consents, volunteer, and submit payment or create a payment plan. Please read through each page carefully to ensure that all information is accurate. To complete registration through our secure site, please have your Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or checking account information available. Following the completion of this registration, you will see a charge on your account from Lake in the Hills Youth Athletic Association. The LITHYAA would like to accommodate everyone to the best of our ability. For additional assistance regarding payment please contact the LITHYAA Registration Team.
In addition to the fees paid for registration, every family will be required to participate in a league fundraiser.*
Each family will be responsible for 10 raffle tickets to be paid for at registration. Families can decide to either sell the tickets for $10/each ($100 total) or to submit them to the raffle on their own behalf. Details for ticket distribution and drawings will be sent out via email and shared at the Annual Parent Meeting. Money raised from the fundraiser allows for the LITHYAA to improve/maintain field conditions and continuously make the LITHYAA fields/facilities one of the best in the area!
*Fundraiser is 'per family', not 'per player'. Excludes Senior Ball division.
PLEASE NOTE: Also, as in recent years, we will be pooling/partnering with surrounding towns (AAYO, CDBL, CARY) at most age levels to increase the variety and number of baseball/softball games that can be played. We feel this provides the kids with the best opportunity for quality competitive play. Please be aware that games will be played at both 'home' (Sunset, Guy, Ryder) and 'away' (neighboring league fields).
If you are registering more than one player in your family this season, you will receive a $20.00 discount on the second (and third, if applicable) child's registration fee. In order for the registration system to recognize that your family is registering multiple players, please register all of your players at this time. On the Review Page, there is a link near the bottom to "Register Another Player" - please click on this link to ensure that all of your family's players are registered within the same order.
***Failure to do so will result in a forfeiture of your family's discounted rates.***

Q: When does the season start?
A: Opening day is April, 25, 2020 for most age divisions. Major girls and Senior boys will start at a later date. Contact the Director of your age division for additional details. Practices typically start the last week of March or first week in April based on weather, coaches' discretion and field availability.
Q: When does the season end?
A: The season will run through the end of June, with playoffs taking place the last week and possibly into the first few days of July.
Q: When are games held?
A: There will usually be one weekday game and one Saturday game.
Q: Are there try-outs?
A: LITHYAA does not hold ‘try-outs’ for our in-house program. However, we hold player evaluations for our Minors, Majors and Pony divisions for baseball and Ponytail, Minors, and Majors for softball. Evaluations consist of hitting, pitching and fielding drills for review by a panel of coaches. The observations are a key part of our draft (team-forming). Details will be communicated once date, time and location are confirmed. Following the evaluation event, the league holds a ‘draft’ to determine team assignments. Teams at all other age groups are assigned randomly.
Q: Can I submit a friend or coach request?
A: Friend and Coach requests are not available for Minors, Majors and Pony for baseball or for Ponytail, Minors, and Majors for softball. However, we will make every attempt to accommodate for ‘friend’ and ‘coach’ requests for the other levels and we highly recommend any such requests be submitted during registration. Accommodations are subject to availability and are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Q: When will I know what team my child is on?
A: After teams are formed, coaches are expected to communicate with their teams prior to the Annual Parent Meeting. If you have not yet heard from your coach by that time, please contact the Director of your player's age group, or speak to a Board Member at the Parent Meeting.
Q: Are there other expenses I should be aware of?
A: The league holds an annual fundraiser,. Each family is required to participate in our raffle fundraiser. More detailed information (not on this website) will be made available at the Annual Parent Meeting.
Q: What is the refund policy?
(There will be no refunds on the $100 fundraiser.) There will be no refunds after the date of the player's 1st scheduled team game. If refund is granted prior to the date of the 1st scheduled team game, the refund will be the registration fee minus a $25 processing fee per player.
Q: Can my child play up?
A: The age requirements for each age division are intended to provide for their safety as well as the safety of others. The LITHYAA has made the exception for kids to play up based on their grade but must still be within the age requirements of the division, which are posted on the registration page.
